Our family has owned the A-Frame on Oak Street since the 1970 when it was bought by Harold and Runa Carlson. Until 1982 it served exclusively as a family retreat. Our quiet, two bedroom, one bath cabin is situated above the clamor of activity associated with the camp programs. It is a typical A-frame cabin with windowed wall over-looking the elevated deck.
Living Space is on two floors. Upstairs we have a queen bed and a full double bed in sleeping areas separated by the stairwell. One bedroom (queen) overlooks the street and the other (double) is a loft overlooking the "great room" and the deck with forest views across the valley.
The downstairs has another double twin trundle bed in the "great room." There is one bathroom (with shower), full kitchen and a "great room." The "great room" isn't really large in size but is plenty adequate for dining, socializing and relaxing. There is a Swedish style fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, range, refrigerator with ice-maker, and microwave. There is no waste food disposal and no laundry facility.
The deck is accessed through a sliding glass door. A pine tree shades one side and a stairway leads to the ground level. A varnished redwood table with benches facilitates dining in the great outdoors. A medium sized gas barbecue is provided. There is parking for three cars.
